Meera is an entrepreneur who had pioneered the concept of customer service and brand building in the logistics industry and had been instrumental in building some of the most admired brands like TCI & Gati. She has expertise in marketing and brand management with deep knowledge of the ASEAN markets (Singapore, China & Indonesia).

She is the only woman entrepreneur to have successfully spearheaded the commissioning of the first hydro power project of 110 MW at Sikkim (her home state). This was the first IPP Project commissioned in North East India.

Meera is the Founder & CEO of Avaan India, a dynamic new age company which has diversified in training the youth of rural India & creating employment, providing staffing solutions to the skilled workforce and e-Learning.

Her latest venture, ‘Avaan Excess’ (www.avaanexcess.com) which is a start-up providing excess baggage solutions recently received the Economic Times Business Innovation Leaders Award.

An artist and connoisseur of art, she pioneered the concept of Affordable Art through her Foundation “Affordable Art with a Heart” (www.artwithaheart.in) which is a 100% not for profit charity.
The Foundation serves as a platform to promote differently abled children and budding artists. Season 1 & 2 of the art exhibition organised by the Foundation received phenomenal response from the art lovers in Hyderabad. The third season of the art exhibition will be held in August 2022.

Meera is also an author of two coffee table books on Sikkim – ‘Mystic Shangrila’ and ‘An Ode to Sikkim’. Both these books are an ode to her childhood and youth spent in Sikkim. A Graduate from Pusa Institute (IIHM), Delhi and a Post Graduate from the Oberoi School of Learning & Development, Delhi, Meera has a strong foundation in the service & logistics industry.
